Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks Allies
We are Tribal Park Allies
The Tribal Park Allies program engages local businesses in the stewardship of Tribal Parks, promoting cultural and ecological resilience.
Tribal Park Guardians play a crucial role in upholding Tla-o-qui-aht stewardship. Guardians engage in environmental monitoring, trail building, and cultural education, and Tla-o-qui-aht youth training and employment.
The Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks Guardians are guided by the wisdom of their ancestors and the principles of traditional governance, recognizing that we are not separate from nature but an integral part of it. Their mission is rooted in the ancient relationship they hold with the land, water, air, and all living beings. This sacred bond has taught them that nature will provide for our needs, but not our greed.T
